When it comes to learning to code, there are so many resources available online. At Coder, we know, we've done it ourselves. Check us out on Udemy: Roblox Coding for Kids.
When it comes to truly nurturing a child’s passion for coding, something essential is needed: the human connection.
While countless online courses promise to teach kids to code, the reality is that many struggle to sustain long-term engagement.
That’s why we’re excited to open our doors. A physical coding studio isn't just about teaching; it’s about building a community.
Breaking Down Stereotypes
In her experience teaching children to code, our founder Cecilia would often see a pattern. A 10-year old boy and his parents would come into her office while their pre-teen daughter was waiting in the car.
The daughter did not want to come into the studio because coding “wasn’t for her”.
Cecilia would invite the parents to bring her in and every time the young girl would decide to join.
Coding is for everyone and our studio is designed to be a place where everyone feels welcome and inspired.
The Power of Collaboration
Coding is often portrayed as a solitary pursuit. But in reality, the best coders are collaborators. A physical studio fosters a dynamic learning environment where kids can bounce ideas off each other, tackle challenges together, and learn essential teamwork skills.
Personalized Guidance, Real-Time Support
Online courses offer flexibility, but they lack the immediate feedback and personalized attention of a dedicated mentor. At our studio, our low student-to-teacher at 1:4 ensures that every child gets the support they need, when they need it. We believe that hands-on guidance is essential for building confidence and overcoming obstacles.
Structure and Focus
Learning to code requires discipline and focus. A physical studio provides a structured environment that minimizes distractions and maximizes learning time. With regular classes, clear goals, and a flexible schedule, kids develop the habits necessary for success. Parents and kids select their schedule, and can come once-a-week to start off or up to five times a week on our unlimited plan.
A Community That Inspires
The camaraderie and shared passion in a coding studio are invaluable. Kids who learn together form lasting friendships, inspire each other, and create a supportive network that extends beyond the classroom. We are excited to kick off several Parents’ Night Out, Game Night, Hackathons and community service events throughout the year.
Igniting Creativity
A physical space is a playground for the imagination. Kids have the freedom to experiment, fail, and learn from their mistakes. This hands-on approach turns coding from abstract concepts into tangible creations. We participate in coding leagues where kids can put their ideas to the test by competing in national and global competitions.
By combining the best of online and offline learning, we’re creating a space where kids can discover the joy of coding, build lifelong friendships, and develop the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our studio!
