Roblox Coding in Spain
Feb 24, 2026

One of the first things students learn in our Roblox curriculum is how to model a 3D object and we always start with pizza. 🍕It's round, it's layered, it's universally loved. It's perfect.
Students then have the freedom to design (aka draw) three food items they enjoy and would like to create in Roblox Studio. They choose one and then start building!
We saw many repeats in San Diego, namely hamburgers and fries. :) I wondered: what would children around the world choose for their food item?

We got to find out when we taught a group of kiddos in Sevilla, Spain.
Before we left to Spain, I asked our students in San Diego what food item in Roblox students would build.
Their guesses: pasta and rice.
What did our lovely students in Spain build? Pasta, salad, sashimi and sushi!

The kids in Spain totally nailed what our students select: hamburgers, fries and fruit of course.
I loved seeing the similarities and differences across cultures, and even more seeing just how curious our kiddos, across countries, were to see each other's work.

We're so grateful to the Appian Sevilla team for making this cross-continent experience possible!
